I've have ridden behind both boats. A good friend of mine used to have an 05 X2 that we road in all the time. He now has an 06 V-Ride. I have an 08 210. The 343 hp motor in my boat has more power than his 350MCX had and the 343 is ALOT more fuel efficient than the indmar engines. Personally I prefer the wakeboarding wake on my 210, with his BU being 2nd, and the X2 coming in third. Also if you are into surfing at all you will definately love the surf wake on the 210 as well, it is so easy to get a big surf wake out of the 210. I say go with it if the deal is right. Despite the economy in general all the boat dealers in my area are having record sales this year. If it is the same in your area than your dealer is probably giving you good money for your trade. It is a decision you and your GF will probably have to make together. If you decide to do it I am sure you won't be dissappointed. I am sure it is great to not have a boat payment but it is also great to have a new boat with so much more room, quality, and IMO a better wake. Good luck on whichever decision you make. Also if you go with the 09 make sure you have the dealer upgrade the antenna and software on the zero off.

assuming you don't put your money in a joint account it's your decision. as wayne's world tought us, "if you spew and she bolts it wasn't meant to be, but if you blow chunks and she stays party on." i also have horrible taste in women and a horrible relationship record so my advice might not be the best.

I owned an 02 Xstar for 3 years and several of my friends still have versions of the 205V hull. Also, two of my friends have '08 210's, and my dealer sponsor lets me take out his demo '10 210 when I want to. I have a lot of experience behind both boats.
I will always love the wake behind 205v. The wake behind the newer 210 is similar to the 205v wake, but is wider and slightly rampier. I don't know that I can say that the 210 wake is all that much better than the 205v wake. What I can say is that the 210 wake can get a little bigger and stay cleaner further back than the 205v wake. For people like me who aren't good enough to ride at 85'' at 27 mph with 5klbs of ballast in the boat, it doesn't really matter.
Room wise, there is no comparison. I love the x1/x2 layout, but the 210 interior is much roomier.2012 Axis A22 - on order

Latonka, good on the 343. In my opinion it all comes down to the prop. My X2 was a different boat after I changed out the prop. Gained torque and HP everywhere. Installed an ACME CNC and removed the OEM OJ non-CNC prop.
gride, yep stuff a kid in the storage works for me! Left open of course.........
Chatt, good to know the wake will not be too foreign and since I'm a Wally behind the boat if the wake is money at 65-70 feet and 22-23 MPH I'll be good.sigpic

After reading all the posts I am once again amazed with the Nautique owners . After all the comparisons and benefits
the one thing you will get from the change is to be adopted into the CC family. These guys are great ! If you posted this on the MC forum do you think anybody would give pros and cons and honest advice. I think it would quickly become a CC bashing thread. I bought my 08 210 in Jan 09 with the economy where it is I have had second thoughts on how wise my decision to buy was. That being said the boat is fantastic after 135 hours the only problem was a bad ballast pump the first time out. Go with your heart keep the X2 and dream of what could have been or go for it you will never regret owning a CC. Either way its great to have you on the forum.
Come to the reunion in green lake WI meet the boys it will seal the deal .

Nautiquehunter, I agree you all at PN have been real stand-up types. I really do value your opinions, especially with the actual boat comparisons. The value of the deal and the cost is all on me but knowledge is power.
As far as the MC forum, I hope you are wrong but I do know that I would not post this question on WW. Heck, some kid would prolly tell me his 24 foot Wakesmasher is better than any boat ever made..........because he has a $5000 sound system in his boat!sigpic

Unforchantly the MC forum is owned by MC and the moderators dont allow discussion of other brands in a positive light. If you did post there the CC would get trashed or the post would get deleted. Right now you are a wanna be but it sounds like you are leaning more towards a gonna be. I cant wait untill we can give you a proper WELCOME to the family.

Update: Bought a 210! Picked up a 2010 210TE yesterday that looks like Nautique Jeffs except top deck stripe is red. Different deal from a different dealer than I started talking about.
I am just blown away by this thing, wow. The dealer was great, unfortunately he has to order the Z5 Rack and we are going to fry on vacation this week unless I figure out something for shade.
We were pressed for time so I did not get to ask the dealer everything. The bilge pump switch lockout thing, he did not explain to my satisfaction. Anybody able to explain this? Maybe it's in the owners manual. He expalined most everything else and really knows his boats, maybe I just was too amped-up.
All for now..............sigpic
