I'll say it again, I'd make them work out a deal on a 2011. I couldn't stand the thought of mechanics climbing in and out of my new boat, replacing multiple trannys - with all the grease and dirt that would come along with it. If someone's buying used, maybe these types if repairs would be necessary, but buying new, I would expect everything to be screwed together once - allowing all parts to age gracefully together. I understand that rare things happen, and that's why there's a warranty, but this situation would drive me crazy.

There are just too many horror stories out there right now for me to feel comfortable buying a new boat. I just sold my 196, and have yet to place a new boat order, as I'm simply gunshy on some issues. I'm starting to think I should've kept my boat one more year.

At this point in time I am not sure who you should complain against but one things for sure, when we look at your boat we see "Nautique" written on it.... after a situation similar with Malibu a friend of mine removed all the Malibu logos and sticker on it and had it wrap with a cool design just so Malibu wouldn't get the publicity. It's a shame that we have to read a situation like this. Not good on the futur valu of our "Nautiques"...

          Last Straw Today

I will be calling the dealer this morning since I have not heard a word from them all week. Today they must have a solution to this problem. The summer up here in Ontario has almost come to end since it is very short. This weekend starting today is awesome sunshine hot right through the weekend.....with No Boat yet!
I will post today what they tell me and I won't be waiting any longer to react. I have a long list of everything that has not been right from day one with this boat and with this dealer. Its now in there best interest to give me an answer TODAY. As mentioned before I have bought brand new 7 SN's since 86 so I am not a first time customer to CC and they should hope I won't be a last time customer.

I sure hope they get things resolved for you. At the very least, give you some update. I'm a project manager and I've found even if you have bad news about a $3Million project, as long as I keep my customer updated at least 2 times a week, they generally roll with it without issue. It's the times when I haven't kept them updated that things have gone to **** in a handbasket. Even if I had no update to give, it helps to call the customer and say that.

FWIW our trans in our 11 is quiet now. Took about 10 hours on the boat before the rocks in a can sounds went away at low throttle input.

Interesting to see what has not been done to cure the issue.

While PCM makes the drivetrain, IMHO, CC and all boat makers should handle that part of the warranty and deal with PCM for you.

It looks like Axis boats have this method in place.

Since it is a Correct Craft, with "nautique" on the side so visibly displayed, it behooves CC to hook you up on a new 2011 IMHO, for no cost to you. They can have the 2010 back and figure out what the issue is on their time. You've paid enough for the down time and CC should simply replace the 2010 with a 2011 equipped 100% the same as your 2010 you have bought. Please note I am not suggesting that you not have any payments if you didn't pay it in full already.

Also, it's damper. Not a "dampner" as that is not even a word.

                update

So far all that has happend is CC sent a new prop overnight. It was put on my boat on Fri and won't you believe it made the same noise!!! Next they installed a prop from a SN200 with the 6L engine and left me with it for the weekend. Yes it is noisey also. Along with not pulling me up as quick and sounding somewhat louder in the water in my opion.
Today I am waiting to hear back from CC and get there final decison to make this right.

At this point I would get my buckaroos back and get something else for a boat... JMO

If CC actually thought it was the prop then they should have changed that before installing a new transmission back in June. For me at this point a new prop would be borderline insulting.

After waiting for almost three months to get this resolved I would think Correct Craft would step up to the plate and make this right.

Two summers ago our ski club blew a piston in one of our Evinrude 225 E-TEC's at 120 hours. Engine was out of service for 6 days. A new powerhead was express shipped and installed and no questions were asked. Ironically this motor was part of a pair that were on our twin rig and at 130 hours the second motor blew. Fuel, oil, electrical systems on the boat were checked and found to be in order. Powerhead was again replaced at no charge to us. We inquired about the reason for the almost identical failures and while no explicit cause was given I was left with the feeling that a there must have been a bad batch of castings in the mix. Whatever the reason the manufacturer and dealer addressed the issues aggressively and in the end made customers for life. It's easy when everything goes well, the true measure of an company is how they handle issues when things go wrong.

                    Good luck.

Do "lemon laws" apply in Canada? In the US, you'd likely have a case.

Probably not. Their are some pretty strict requirements to qualify for lemon laws in most states. Same problem with 3 failed attempts at repair within a certain period of time in Wisconsin. Most of the time you have to hire an attorney and spend time with letters etc. Canada is probably similar. The ONLY answer in this case is for CC to make their customer whole.

                            update

I did get a call tonight from CC and so far it is making me more upset.
There will be a meeting tomorrow and CC will decide what is to be done. From what I can tell they are going to look for me to pay them some money in order for me to get a 2011 replacement. This problem was from day one not from weeks or months into using the boat!! I will post on here in the afternoon the out-come.

For years I have promoted CC and the Ski Nautique. Talked many a friend into buying them including a new wakeboard boat last year (my friend was leaning tword a MC) I have always bought my Ski Nautiques brand new and have spoken highly of there product.
For CC not to step up and support me will be a shock!!! I still have faith they will do whats right but I do have to say I'm worried in this situation. I will leave it at that right now until I hear there final word.

If they want you to put some money in to "upgrade" to the 2011 tell them you will settle for a new 2010...which is exactly what you paid for. If they can't supply it then they should cover the cost for the upgrade. They drug their feet into the new model year, not you.

You have put up with enough all ready, it's time for them to make it right!
