Did you get the heavy duty tow package with the 3.42 rear axle, and how much does the edge help. I'm picking up my new tahoe next month and have been looking at the edge.

on the '09 and newer it's 3.42, standard is 3.08

on the '09 and newer it's 3.42, standard is 3.08

while the 3.42 appears higher on paper, it is compensated by the lower first gear of the 6 speed transmission. the 4 speeds prior to that required lower gears to be in the optimum operating range....

It's a 2007 Z71 with optional std 3.78 gears it had an option for 4.10. The edge is probably the best thing I have bought. With the SANTE I can tell a slight diff but pulling the big boat I dont even know its there. I took it off for a week and felt like I was driving a granny car. Red, get one and let me know how you like it. I promise youll love it in tow mode when you have the boat.

In New Zealand we have a few different vehicles. We just brought a New Australian Ford Territory Turbo (6 cyclinder petrol turbo) 245kw around 480nm of torque for our new 210.

Yeah its the Mrs truck just got it. Holden people but was the best for the purpose, a captiva wasnt going to be able to tow. Likes gas though
