I cannot get Zero Off to respond to my email. As a matter of fact email addressed to ericf@zerogps.com is returned "not deliverable". Is the address above in Waterford, MI, where headunits are sent to be updated for the R2 antenna?

No i did not do the upgrade myself. I am on rev q now, i think. We ran full belly and about half full on 1100 sacs in the back and i was quite happy. No noticiable purpoising at all. You may be right. But i will take "big improvement" and save the $450

How do you upgrade the firmware on the Zero Off is there a USB connection on the back of the unit or something > ? Looking on the site it does allow you to download the software or at least request the latest S/W.
I rather try and upgrade the firmware first and see if it fixes the problem. We went last weekend and had about 3000 pounds in the boat and were Surfing and it was really bad.
How long did it take i would assume it pretty easy.

Unless things have changed, you need a Diacomm cable to upgrade...or ZeroOff will do it (at least they used to) if you send the unit to them. Most dealers have the right cable--but some (like my old dealer) don't. If you have to buy it, I believe it's +/- $250. I had CC West upgrade mine several years ago and it only took a few minutes.Previous boats:

2008 SAN 210
2002 XStar
1995 Sport Nautique

Since I am a recent purchaser of an 08 210 SANTE how would I know what antenna I have?? Mine is mounted/ located just beyond the driver window on the flat area near the mooring cleat. When talking about surging I dont' think that it surges with stock ballast but I can tell that it seems like that there is a subtle miss in the engine exhaust tone. Please describe the surge that everyone is talking about.
Thanks.2008 210 SANTE

Surging is the bow bouncing up and down when locked on at your set speed when zero off is engaged. This is called porpoising and can usually be controlled by moving the hydro gate forward or turning. Happens more in choppy rolly water and when u run more stern ballast than nose. And u have the old style antenna. Try the software update first a lot of people have success with that.

Hey all I've got my new antenna in and mounted but question on plugging into the harness? Attached is a pic that shows the grey box under my helm where my current zerooff is plugged in. See link from zerooff that doesn't mention grey box rather just leaving plugs hang. To me it would seem I pull the 2 plugs(triangle and rectangle plug on end) from the grey box and then plug those into the new harness and then plug the other 2 new plugs back into the grey box. Does that make sense?

Wow! Is all I got to say! So wish I would have gotten this antenna 2 yrs ago! Went out today loaded with over 2500lbs of ballast. Wasn't ideal conditions as quite a few rollers as well as a little breezy! Anyway I didn't have to use the hydro gate once! Boat was night and day different! I swear under today's conditions I would have been in and out of the hydro gate over and over again to steady the boat out. Not once today! Very happy with it!!! Was a little unnerving drilling the 1" hole in the boat but that went smooth. Very easy install.
