    Horns on a Nautique – Disgusting!

    Took these pictures during the UCSD Collegiate Water Ski tournament last weekend. Don’t know whose boat this is, but I guess they thought it would be cool to put horns on it (and no, there weren’t any Texas schools at the tournament).

      What's the big deal.......just someone having a little fun. Maybe the guy that owns the boat is from Texas, maybe he pulls it with a big white convertible Cadillac with horns on the hood and wanted the boat to match......his boat, his choice.

              I am more bothered by the keel shield, while actually practical it takes away from the sleekness of a Ski Nautique. The horns are funny.

                  I have certainly seen a lot worse mods on Nautiques. It is just attached to the lifting ring, so not even any harm to the boat.

                          Ha. I don't put them on unless I am trailering somewhere. I still pay for them and have them on hand, but not a big believer in attaching numbers or tags on my nearly private lake. Took a little convincing with the Sharif at Green Lake this summer....

                                  That's really funny. Before the start there was a guy barefooting behind the boat and as they came by they blew the horn to grab our attention. When someone on the team said did you see the horns on the boat I thought they meant the other horns. I didn't even notice these. Also, it wasn't the horns or keel Shield I was bothered by the other boat there as a backup. It was Mastercraft. That looked alot worse than the horns.

                                              I have seen a Sport Nautique with a bracket for a trolling motor on the platform.
                                              The horns on the front of the boat will teach you to keep the rope tight when doing ATB's (Around The Boat).
