RE: Correct Craft Layoffs
Aaron - I hope you are wrong. We need to give CC some credit for holding out this long. I still think CC is in a better position then Bu, Supra and MC. IMO.
Good luck to those employees and thanks for building a great ski boat.

Fewer than expected file for unemploymentOriginally posted by aarond0083This sucks... and it's not going to get any better with with our current government wanting to bail everyone out. Unemployment numbers haven't even come close to peaking IMO.
CNNMoney.com - 15 minutes ago
Labor Department says first time jobless claims fell by 52000 last week to 565000. But continuing claims rose to another record high.

RE: Re: RE: Correct Craft Layoffs
My statement wasn't directed at CC. I think they doing everything they can considering the current state of the market. My statement was more about the general state of the economy. As for the CNN link... I could care less about that. I am speaking for what I see from day to day where I live. And the triangle area in Raleigh/Durham is supposed to be one of the recession proof areas...Aaron - I hope you are wrong. We need to give CC some credit for holding out this long. Aaron - sorry no I was more commenting on the "Unemployment numbers haven't even come close to peaking IMO" ststement. I hope that Unemployeement has already peaked. My comments regarding CC holding up were my own. They should be proud of holding off so long.
sorry for the confusion.

RE: Re: RE: Correct Craft Layoffs
It was bound to happen. The dealers in my area are planning to order less and less boats. CC increased prices and added shipping to the West Coast. CC told them to deal with it. Both places I talked to are selling boats but they are repo boats and the only new CC boats are few and far between. Both said they will not order any 200 and neither thought they would order any 216V or 226s because they will not compete with local boat prices. I am not sure which econ class CC took that indicated higher prices would increase sales.

I think CC's model is quality over quantity. But I also agree that if your quantity isn't at a certain level the quality doesn't matter.I am not sure which econ class CC took that indicated higher prices would increase sales.
