Side air intake cowls on 07 236, having problems

the cowls on my 236 are showing small spider cracks and I have noticed the fiberglass starting to show through the gel coat. I did not think much of it. Annoying !but did not bother me that much, thought I would bring it up at next service interval with dealer. I have been helping a friend find a 230 or 236 the last several weeks when today he tells me that Nautique knew they had a problem with these and was replacing them as necessary. Has anyone heard anything about this and can you enlighten me to it. We have a new dealer in town and thought I would run it across you guys first. They are a great dealer, just a little snowed under right now with service work. thanks!

i told your buddy steve about that. mine cracked last weekend and my dealer told me this used to hapen on 220's all the time. My guys had a pair in stock and are being replaced no charge with a composite backed unit that is a little more flexible. It would be covered on your warranty with no questions asked

I hope so sent him pics today after I picked up the boat. New vents fixed in one day. Easy part to replace even if correct craft sends them to you.
