My boats has been acting crappy all summer, at first we thought it to be the fuel element (fuel filter). Basically the boat will just stall out, at first it usually happened when you are pulling a rider, then recently it started happening when it was at speed. It has never left us stranded, but recently she has not started back up for say 10 minutes.
Anyways, fast-forward to today. I am about 99% that the problem is in the primary pump (the one that makes noise when you turn the key to the on position) so my dad calls up Pacific Nautiques, and talks to Rob, he says that we should get a test light and make sure that the pump is getting power. My father is pretty sure it’s the fuel pump, and says "I would really rather just replace the fuel pump to see if that fixes It." so then Rob says that he’s gonna box one up and ship it out this afternoon. My dad asks if he wants his credit card to charge for the part. But Rob says that he is just going to send us the part and if it doest fix the problem then we can just ship it back. Now that is awesome service! I mean my boat isn’t even under warranty anymore. (99 sport nauti) They have also shipped 2 gas caps for free, simply because the person pumping gas at the marina dropped it in the lake.
So in order to give this thread any meaning, has your dealership ever given you a part for 'free'? And Or helped you out even though they had no obligation to do so?
