1980 Ski Nautique Original Battery Spec?

Does anybody have the specs for the original battery in the 80 Nautique?

My boat has a replacement battery that is too big and the battery cover does not sit flush.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just a regular 12V car battery will work. A lot of guys go with the Optima which should fit too.

i believe Class 65 is what you want. 750 CCA, and shorter in height.
