A friend on mine got a call from his wife (he was at work) who was freaking that there was gas all over the carport ground at home... his 02 SAN210 has been parked there all winter with gas in the tank. His house is in Florida. We speculated it was the rise in outside temp (was cold for a week and then hit with a 2 day warm spell) that caused the gas to purge out... any thoughts?

That would be my guess. i will have to check with him - i do believe so. I would assume the fix for this would be not leaving the tank full during winter non use?

Yup. Really bad if left on a trailer. Not that the trailer makes the temp do anything different, but the boat may be leaning to the vent side when it gets hot and more gas comes out (Not good). I usually leave it 3/4 full in the winter and no more than 1/2 when sitting on the trailer. I left it full one day and it puked out all over the driveway and down the side of the boat. It disolved all my pin stripes, fortunatly I had more to replace them. P-I-T-A......Originally posted by drnautiquesComment

this is mainly caused because the vent needs to have a 2foot look in it
most all manufactures leave it out
speeds up the process

Lucky for me it did not hurt my paint/stripes at all. Glad Teleman had extra for his boat.
