2000 Pro Air Nautique with Pro Boss 260 HP carb.

    Hi

I'm thinking on a Pro Air Nautique with the 260HP Pro Boss, carb, Engine. I'm a little worried about the carb and only 260HP. Does the carb. engine (260HP) need more fuel then a GT-40? Are 260HP enough for wakeboarding, wakesurfing and a little skiing with up to 5 adults on board?

    Cheers, KTM525

A pro air is prettymuch a sport and I have a 93 proboss powered sport and I will tell ya, it does just fine. I believe the pro boss is a GT40 headed engine that has 285 hp though (mine does) I can surf, ski, bull multiples skiing with as many people as I can fit on th boat and I havent had any power problems at all. As far as fuel consumption, I dont see any noticable difference between mine and an injected model. The carb is just a touch more cold blooded off the bat, but then I couldnt tell any difference between them whatsoever.

I find it odd that one option was a carb motor but just cause it isnt common doesnt mean it wasnt there. That being said, I see it being worth a little less money just because it isnt injected, but I dont see that as a reason as to not buy the boat. Good luck in your decision
