I've got some of the Bullet LED's and they only require a small hole in the center of the light, 1/4" or 1/2" not sure, and then 3 small pilot holes for the screws to mount it to the hull.
As for drilling through the boat, the back and sides of the hull are thin, it's the bottom that takes some....courage 8-)
I had the fun of installing my Perfect Pass and also enlarging the hole for the ballast through-hull, it's over 1/2" thick, and once you start there's no turning back!

Any pics of the BLUE lights in the water. I also have a red/wjite boat, but thinking the blue would look good.

I can't believe the view count and view to reply ratio for this thread.

So does anybody have any pictures of the rear of the light or a PDF of the install instructions?

I can take a pics when I get home, I don't have the lights with me right now. You might want to PM/email Ken, I would think he has the pics and he could email them to you.

Just picked up from the dealer after having bulletlines underwater lights installed. I didn't have enough goods in my chicken bag to drill into the new gelcoat myself...especially after reading about the adrenaline rush you guys are getting while doing it! Hope to get some pics in the water tomorrow nite...a little to chilly tonite. Hard to get a good pic because they are so BRIGHT...I do have some other angles if anyone is interested.

What switch is evrybody tapping into for these? I think I want them on my "courtesy light" switch? The problem is that switch does two things. It also double as my Docking Lights, which I don't want on at the same time. Being that the docking lights are technically illegal to use while underway, I want to make sure I just jump onto the "Courtesy" circuit. I have not tried to tap into the dash yet. Does any how much fun this will be? BTW..This is on a 2007 236 TE, and I picked up the white lights from Ken. Thanks,

I bought the white lights from Ken as well and would like to hear how people are taping into the “courtesy lights”. The lights are in transit now and I would like to install as soon as they get here. Does any one have a diagram/drawing of how they are wiring them?

Thanks in advance for any help. My boat is a 2006 SAN 210.

Alan. Not familiar with the layout of the courtesy lights on a 210 but the operation is pretty straight forward.
Once the lights are mounted you will have two bare of wires inside the transom.
Run those wires up to the courtesy light on either side of the boat. If you have a courtesy light on each side then run one pair of wires from the transom to the light on one side and then do the same on the other. Courtesy lights will have two wires going into them. Cut the wires a couple of inches from the courtesy light and then join them adding the wires coming from the transom light(s). Use good connectors, if the transom light wires are not long enough you may have to splice in additional lengths. I always go up a gauge in wire to compensate for the longer run.

When I put mine on my former 196 I tied them into the stern navigation light as it was the closest 12v power.

sstexan. Why not run wires from the battery and put in a separate switch? Hide a small switch up under the dash. If you do go that route make sure you put in the appropriate size inline fuse.

****... I really like the Bullitlines lights and Ken has been great this far with customer service (a lot of emails to/from me ;-) .... But, the lights are open in the back, the 3 screws are tighten with somekind of bridge. I think this is great when you get your boat out of the water every day, but we put the boat in a harbour... The algue would have a good time to grown behind the lights and would be impossible to clean behind the lights....

Still not sure what to do... I found the Attwood lights (OEM CC) also for a good price, but they only ship to the states..

Just put a shot of silicone around the outside edge of the lights......should keep everything away!
