Creating a new post called "Disappointed by West Coast Correct Craft" on a public forum that is monitored closely by CC and other dealers before giving the dealer a chance to resolve this minor issue on an 7 year old boat is a little out of line. If WCCC said "no way we're fixing it, you're on your own", then it would be a different story. Surely you can see that. It's not about PC or not PC, it's more about what the post is trying to accomplish. If it's not there to put egg on a dealer's face before they have a chance to resolve the issue, what is it for?

"In light of some things written in the past" alludes to what I regard as very damaging statements. I personally did not find T40's so damaging. It sounds like it is to a degree personal interpretation. A business apologizes & tries to reconcile the situation.

I agree with earlyriser. T40 is in no mean trying to Bash WCCC. I feel they should be held to a higher standard then a dealership or anyone else for that matter.
i feel when you pay for perfection you better get it.
        am i wrong?

I've been taking my Nautique to WCCC for over three years now for various warranty repairs, parts, service, winterization (and de) and even stored it there one winter. All I can say is the folks there have always been phenomenal. Herb and Jake specifically are outstanding. I've never had any issues and to the contrary, myself and my boat have always been treated extremely well. I have to drive almost three hours to get there and could take my boat to other shops for service, but as long as I own a Nautique, I'll be taking it to WCCC.

I too have had great service done at WCCC, however it comes at a higher cost than other service centers and I gladly pay it based on the quality of work and the trust I have in there service. That being said, if I spent over 2K with them and was sent out the door with sloppy work I would have handled it exactly the way Toy40. He was disappointed and was hoping for a resolution. When it was corrected he promptly let us know. He must be a pretty good guy based on the fact he never mentioned how much he spent or the fact he had to drive out to the lake pay to launch, gas to return…… This incident made both parties look good, Toy40 for not totally going alien and WCCC for righting a wrong. Now let’s all have a group huge and go back to skiing, wakeboarding or what ever else you do in your boat that’s mostly legal.

            P.S.This horse is officially dead.

              EarlyRiser,

I agree there is defintely pressure on Planet Nautique to give the benefit of the doubt to the company and it's affiliates who build, sell and service the boats we all enjoy. At one point I was beyond frustrated with my boat, the dealer and the brand. Toyota40's experience was mild by comparison. I had not one or two return trips, but multiple return visits with long gaps without my boat due primarially to product quality issues. However, instead of posting here, I vented to friends and fellow local owners as I didn't anticipate getting a sympathetic ear on this forum.

Now, nearly a year after a resolution was reached I can reflect back on the experience. Should I have posted here telling everyone my story? Maybe. What I am sure about is that West Coast Correct Craft went far above and beyond the call of duty to rectify my situation. So much so that I have come full circle and I would recommend the brand and West Coast Correct Craft in particular. Bottom line is that when push comes to shove, Correct Craft stands behind their products and makes things right for Correct Craft owners.

What was the problem with your throttle? Im having the same issue on my 01 after I installed perfect pass. Im going to replace the cable to engage the tranny since it is smooth once in gear, but if you had a different problem Id like to check that out first.
