    Ford vs Chevy PCM Engine

I just bought my first Nautique, it is a 2001 Air Nautique with a Ford 351 engine. I noticed that most of the boats I have seen have a Chevy Engine. What if any are the differences as far as quality? and why did Correct Craft discontinue the use of Ford PCM engines?

RE: Ford vs Chevy PCM Engine

ford no longer makes the 351 - 351 was an absolute workhorse and with reasonable care will be around for many hours - I know of a mid 80's 2001 series with over 1600 hours and runs as new today as ever - correct craft had nothing to do with the motor - PCM changed to chevy due to no ford blocks

        RE: Thanks

I know GT40 Ford blocks with more then 3500hours without a rebuilt. True in a Ski Nautique and not a heavy weighted SAN...
