Can confirm on the "always looking". Bought mine a year and a half ago and I still look at least once a week at the boats in my saved searches. Little bit of a habit since it took a while to find and it's also the curiosity of what you may find.

I like the word ambitious, well said.

When I was a kid, back when I was a teenager, ha. I worked on Uncle's ranch, sunup to sundown riding fence line, replacing posts & stretching wire. One day Cousin Billy says "Scooter, there will never be a day forward, that you are driving down the road, and not looking at fence line." He remains correct to this day.
Hence, as much research & work that you put into finding your boat, you will always be checking prices (fence line), it becomes engrained...

$38.5K seems quite ambitious, though it looks very nice.

Scooter G I feel good about it! It's like anything - house, used car, used boat, etc. - how long do you look at other listings after you've bought yours to see how you did??

The boat that SilentSeven posted is very clean, too. Between the two I'm happy to have saved $12,500 even though ours isn't a TE boat.

That is a super clean '03 in the Tri-Cities! (Go Cougs, lol)
Judging from the price point, looks like you did alright on your score KDenning, cost & hours...

Here's a quick picture from the morning of the test drive! I really wish I'd had more time to take pictures and videos - it was an absolutely gorgeous morning on Whiskeytown Lake. I'd never been to that area and it's admittedly hard to impress Lake Tahoe people when it comes to a lake, lol.

I'd only ever seen phots of the boat on the trailer which is color-matched to the hull and stripe so it looked a little matchy-matchy for my taste but goodness-gracious does it look better on the water than I'd ever imagined.

I'm going to start a new thread soon to sum up the process and my search for anyone that's in the same......boat.

Home sweet home! I would have driven just about anywhere for the right boat. Lucky for me the right boat for us was only 4 hours away!

Usually this time of the year we can't wait for more snow/more winter. Now we're pretty eager for summer!

Any advice for my on-water test next Monday (01/29)?

The current owner has limited experience with wake boats (hence the sale of the boat) and I haven't driven a SAN since I was thirteen years old, lol! My boating experience for the last two decades has been salt water outboard boats.

Again, it's a 2003 SAN (Limited) sitting at 582.5 hours. The boat has been through two pre-purchase inspections now, has new fluids, and a new steering cable.

In a perfect world the owner would be able to walk me through the boat and it's systems but that's not the case. I'm comfortable going off of feel/sound/visual inspection but if there's anything the forum would suggest I look for specifically please let me know!

Thanks in advance! If the test drive goes well I'll be getting her winterized in Redding before the 4.5 hour drive back to the Lake Tahoe basin. All five tires are brand new.
