janderton a 2000 Python would have been an 8.2, not an 8.1. The 8.1 didn't come out until 2002. Your boat likely has an 8.2 unless it was repowered later with a newer Python.

Still looking? I have a 2000 air nautique super sport (8.2 python, with 130 hours!) that I bought this year, that isn’t the right fit for my family. Just finished the season, and I’m looking to winterize it and it’ll go up for sale in the spring. It is not a direct drive though, it’s a v drive. If you’re interested, let me know.
