Nice Boat Donavan! Great deal on a very fine 226.

Beautiful boat!!! Have you thought about posting on onlyinboards.com or boattrader etc.? You may get better exposure than craigslist for someone looking for something specific like a tow boat.

Also, what is the height when sitting on the trailer from the ground to the top of the tower when folded? My garage is 7' tall at the door... would your boat fit?

Thank you! I have really worked hard to keep this thing running and looking great. The previous owners also did a great job taking care of it! With the tower folded I think that I am just under 7 feet tall if I remember correctly.. I have thought about posting it somewhere else but I am not really hot on getting rid of it right now so I just wanted to see what it would do... Thanks again and happy boating!

This may work out great. I'm not quite ready to buy just yet either (maybe next season)... but I'm definitely zeroing in on the 226 as the boat of choice. We use our boat in salt water on occasion so a galvanized trailer like you have is a must. I also like the closed cooling of the ZR6.

Did you ever get that engine issue worked out? I saw your other post....

That sounds like something we might can work out. Huge benefit having someone that understands the saltwater usage. Let me know when you are ready to pull the trigger. I could arrange to tow it up half way possibly. I plan on taking it to South Carolina when I really get ready to sell. I know the application is much greater in that area. Yeah the check engine light ended up being the oil pressure sensor/oil pressure switch. I am pretty sure the only issue was the switch but I went ahead and changed them both. The boat is running like a champ now! Looking forward to the season! Unless someone slides in and buys this killer boat!!

That all sounds great. I'm glad to hear it was an easy fix for you. I imagine you will sell it before long we get the chance to make an offer. That definitely seems like a fair price for a great boat, especially with the ZR6!! So, I don't think you'll wait long...

My better-half's job is too up in the air this summer to make a deal on our end now. Regarding our next boat: she says it must seat 12, and I'm looking for a doable slalom wake and would prefer something with surf potential too (I know- opposite ends of the spectrum). The 226 seems like the choice for us from what I can tell. Do you ski much behind this? If so what do you think? I'm usually doing about 32mph and 15 off. The off part doesn't matter much and I can go shorter or longer to avoid a bump since I'm not in the course.

                  Happy skiing/surfing/boarding.
