Boat looks to be in great shape for it's age.

Is 200 hrs what shows on the hour meter of the new gauge right now?

No. The gauges show 87.7 hrs. Silver Spray Sports told us this story regarding the low hours of the boat:

An older gentleman bought the boat new from Silver Spray Sports to hopefully entice his kids and grand kids to come and visit more frequently. That turned out to not be the case, so the boat was only run a couple of times per year. Silver Spray changed the gauges out at some point, but estimated the hours at time of purchase to be around 125.

We purchased the boat in November of 2009. We are not spend all day on the lake kind of people. We get up early, get our sets in, and park the boat. So we haven't put many hours on it ourselves either.

Obviously the only way to know the true hours is to hook up to the ECM, which we have not done. This could be arranged for a serious buyer.

Unfortunately the ECM on the GT40 will not give you an hours readout. There is no way to tell, but anybody serious about buying this boat should have a compression test done and see that the vinyl is in really good condition which means not much use. GLWS

Thanks for that note Seth. I was not aware that the hours couldn't be read off of the ECM.

Compression test can also be arranged.

The perfect pass has hours too. I think you can press on/off and the up arrow at the same time (Whatever the right most buttons are / top and bottom). You can check that for a comparison, assuming it was original with the boat.

The Perfect Pass Stargazer was installed when we purchased the boat. The paddle wheel is present on the bottom of the boat. I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect the original perfect pass unit was removed when the new gauges were installed.

Still for sale...Had general safety check completed about 3 weeks ago. Compression on all cylinders is 150 psi according to mechanic. Boat was water tested and ran great...41 mph at 5150 rpm. It is re-winterized now.

I found the original Boat Trader ad that we responded to when we purchased the boat which said the boat had 80 hours...that was in 2009. Also spoke to dealer who said they found record which showed boat at 67 hours at end of 2007. As stated earlier, gauges currently show close to 90 hrs and gauges were replaced before we bought the boat. So based on the information available, the boat has less than 200 hours on it.
