    Barefoot Boom for sale

I have a used http://www.barefootcentral.com/skylo...efootboom.aspx barefoot boom for sale. I have never used this boom and the factory pylon attachment has been substituted with a different one. I believe this was done to prevent damage(scratches/gouges) to the finish of the ski pylon. New this would run $499 asking $325.

Not trying to flame your FS thread but I have been patiently searching for a boom for my 87 BFN, that pylon mount just doesn't look like it would be safe at all. Is there any pin that goes through to hold the boom from sliding out that I can't see? The clamping mechanism doesn't seem like it would be enough.

it looks to me like there is a hole for a pin on the end of the bar..one on each end.. my question would be what keeps it from sliding in..I'm sure it works as it has definitely been used I just have not seen this set up

It has been used just not by me. The clamps are the same clamps as what holds wakeboard racks and tower speakers to the tower. It pinch clamps onto the ski pylon and the tow bar. They are very strong but no there is no pin that goes all the ways through. I will sell it for $225 with no clamps and you can buy the proper part from Skylon for $125 if you like or I will sell it as-is for $300.
