Hello all,

This is my first post to Planet Nautique as I'm a new Nautique owner . While I've been boating my entire life, I've never owned a proper inboard. My 2017 GS20 needed new board racks fingers from the gentlemen I purchased it from, I installed those easily and they looked great. They even aligned well straight out the gate, meaning when I locked them inward under the tower speakers they both had right about 1/4" of gap between them and the speaker. Pretty perfect alignment.

Now I'm a little OCD about things like this, and we had a little low speed (less than 1mph) grazing with a covered dock we were renting over a weekend. Came in with the port board rack still locked outward and a big and heavy zup board on it no less (rookie mistake!). The board itself contacted the vertical support of the covered slip, not the actual fingers of the rack itself, and I thought most of this was absorbed by the bungie since the board did move some in the fingers while I hit it in reverse quickly. While all that was very low speed, I have noticed now that my port swivel rack now sits at 1/2" under the tower speaker as compared to the starboard at 1/4". No biggie to some, but this is where my OCD kicks in and I'd appreciate any tips, opinions, etc. on how to get these two back in alignment!

Sorry, no pics of it either, that would have been way to prepared of me.

Thanks all,

I own a 1996 Super Sport. The steering is easy to turn to the port side and very hard to turn to the starboard side. Does this mean I need a new steering cable. The boat has 994 hours and to the best of my knowledge has never had the cable replaced. I bought it from the original owner and he said he never changed it. I was quoted $817.00 from Watersports Center to R&R the steering cable. Does that sound fair? I have watched a couple of videos and it doesn't look very difficult, though I am sure if I were to do the job, something would cause it to "be difficult". I do have a terrible back so I am sure it would kill me to DIY, but I also don't like to pay for things I can do myself. Let me know your thoughts. TIA Mark

Cylinder 1 Misfire on PCM H5DI 5.3L — DTC 1311 & DTC 301

Hey everyone. I have a 2018 Nautique G21 with the PCM H5DI 5.3L direct injection engine and I'm chasing down a cylinder 1 misfire. Looking for anyone who's dealt with something similar.

THE ISSUE:

Engine runs fine at idle and low RPM, but after about 5 minutes of running under load at higher RPM, I get two fault codes:

- DTC 1311 — Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected

- DTC 301 — Cylinder 1 Emissions Catalyst Damaging Misfire

The fault log shows this code has occurred 127 times, so it's clearly been happening for a while.

WHAT I'VE ALREADY CHECKED:

- Replaced the spark plug on cylinder 1 — plug looked clean and dry, no fouling or oil

- Inspected and cleaned the spark plug wire with contact cleaner

- Plug well looked normal

BACKGROUND:
I recently bought this boat, knowing that had an issue with the NSS, which turned out to be the LINC panoray set to the wrong boat model. (I suspect the screen had been replaced before)
I also previously had DTCs for high side injector faults on multiple cylinders, which turned out to be caused by corrosion on a single pin on the ECM connector. Cleaned it up and that resolved those codes. Not sure if this current misfire is related or not — all the other ECM pins look completely clean, so it may be a separate issue.

MY CURRENT THEORY:

Given that it only misfires under load at higher RPM and runs fine at idle, I'm leaning toward either a weakening coil pack that can't keep up at higher firing frequency, or corrosion in the wiring between the ECM and the coil pack on cylinder 1. The boat has a history of water/storm damage so corrosion throughout the electrical system is a known issue.

Has anyone experienced this specific misfire pattern on the H5DI? Any tips on testing the coil pack or the signal wire without pulling the intake manifold would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi we have a Nautique 200 CB
which has no crank

we have measured and tested the gear selector.
it is in neutral
and we have 1 ohm in the connector so it is as it should be.

but then my question is are there other things that the engine control unit looks at before it will let the starter run. ??

a little history on the matter.
the boat sails as it should we land the boat stops for 5 10 minutes. then we want to start to sail with a new runner
but then it won't start (no crank) so we mess with the cables on the starter and just like that it starts and works for days.
but the next day it is crazy again but we haven't got it to crank since.

then we have checked everything with neutral (tried with a different gear selector) but same problem.

we can't find any fault.

we have tested and there are only 2 inactive errors (SPN: 29 TCP #2 SENSOR FAULT
AND
SPN: 91 TCP #1 SENSOR FAULT)

has anyone experienced anything similar

i can't find a wiring diagram for the engine control unit
does anyone have it for a ZR4

Hey everyone,

I recently picked up a 2018 G21 with the PCM H5 and ran into a serious issue on my first time out — four simultaneous DTC codes (2261, 2270, 2276, 2279) for Direct Injector High Side Short to Ground on cylinders 1, 4, 6, and 7. Engine ran rough and I had to limp back to the dock at 1200 RPM.

During the diagnostic process, one of the most frustrating things was the complete lack of publicly available wiring information for the H5/H6. No pinout diagrams, no ECM connector maps — all dealer-only through Diacom. I called PCM and was able to track down the official PCM wiring schematics and am attaching them to this post as a PDF for anyone who needs them. These cover the full H5 and H6 (5.3L / 6.2L DI) engines including injectors, ignition coils, sensors, throttle body, relays, fuel pump, O2 sensors, grounds, and power circuits.

I also took those diagrams and built an interactive web tool that makes them easier to navigate. Click any component and it highlights the ECM pins associated with it. Click any pin on the ECM connector grid and it tells you exactly what it controls and what circuit it belongs to. No more guessing or scrolling through pages of schematics.

https://pmc-h5-h6-wiring-tool.netlify.app/

A few notes:
— The attached PDF contains the original PCM wiring diagrams (DI_NA_PCM001 through PCM016) — use these as your source of truth
— The web tool is built from those same diagrams and is meant to make them faster to navigate in the field
— Built for the H5 and H6 specifically, but may also apply to other PCM DI engines sharing the same E92 ECM architecture — Centurion and Supreme owners with the same platform may find this useful too
— Works on desktop and mobile

Hope this saves someone else hours of head-scratching. If you spot any errors or have additional diagram pages to contribute, let me know and I'll update the tool.
