Hi Everyone,

I have a 2023 GS22 and when I got it back from storage this spring the sub wasn't working at all. Volume settings on the head unit and LINC Panoray looked normal across the tower, cabin speakers, and sub. All wiring appeared firmly connected and both amps had solid green lights.

I turned the battery switch off and reset the breaker near the battery switch — after that it came back and worked fine. A few days later it started acting up again, this time running at roughly 50% output. I can feel it working but it's noticeably weak. Tried the breaker reset again with no luck this time.

I've reached out to my dealer but haven't heard back yet. Has anyone run into this before? Any troubleshooting tips or leads on what might be causing it would be really appreciated.

Hey everyone,

Picked up a 2002 SAN 210 this past weekend and it’s in need for some help in the audio section. I have been going back and forth about what direction I want to go with it. I’m looking to add some good quality sound that is clear and has some good bass. I have young kids and I don’t typically blast my music so I’m more interested in good quality sound.

It still has the stock 6 in boat speakers and an older Kenwood head unit. The previous owner had an older Pioneer Premier 12” sub in a box just on the floor behind the driver seat but I have removed that. I want that space open for a cooler/bags, etc. it also has an older set of Infinity tower speakers but those will be removed. Under the helm is an infinite amp ( assuming for towers) and an older JL e1200 amp that I believe was for the sub.

My plan is to upgrade the 6 in boat speakers with something decent. Not planning to spend a ton of money, because I’m sure anything new will sound better than stock. I’ve looked at JL, Rockford, and entertained some of the lower wetsounds options.

I also want to add a sub, not sure of 10” or 12” due to space. Where are you guys mounting these? I’m coming from a much newer and
bigger boat so space is already very limited. I’d like to avoid filling the observer seat storage completely with a sub box.

As for the amp, I’m thinking a 5 or 6 channel amp to power the in boat speakers and sub. What do you guys think?

im going to wait on towers at this time because we dont really wake board often and dont have the need for sound projection. We’re typically in the boat or have a Bluetooth speaker when in the beach.

looking for some opinions on speakers and how you guys mount them? Keep the mesh speaker cover or mount on top of the combing pad? Also, sub suggestions and mounting locations? Also wanted to update the head unit if it is in the budget but the Kenwood may work for now since it has Bluetooth. Thank you all!

The Polk Audio D5000.5 amplifier for the cabin speaker and subwoofer recently kicked the bucket in our 2014 G25. Looking for a plug-and-play replacement for the Polk Audio system. I heard the stock speakers are woefully underpowered; something that brings out their potential would be awesome. I don't know a ton about all the different speaker specs and meanings with ohms and watts and RMS and such. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be AWESOME.

Hey PN! Been a minute.

Working on a paragon 25' lately, with the factory wake subs blown. Here's some pics for those of you that are interested. Driver is a 12tw3-d4 2x, which presents a 2 ohm load on an MV600/1. Strangely JL didn't design it for a 2 ohm load, so each sub sees around 150 watts RMS. These are being replaced with dual 8 ohm models to get a 2 ohm load on the amp for a slight bump in power.

Boat was a 2022. The factory subs were rusted together at the coil and magnet, we drained about a gallon of water out of the ported side. the sealed side also had some water in it, but only a couple of ounces.

JL Audio does not give technical support any details of the tuning or volumes of this enclosure. It's a single reflex bandpass enclosure. Hope to get some time to measuring the volumes of the sealed and ported sides. Ports go into bilge blower accordion style tubing, which i guess is specified to a certain length by JL to Nautique. JL also does not specify the model number of these subs, just that they are 12".

Our plan is to install the 12tw3-d8 replacements, pull the gasket tape, and reseal with 3m 4200 in black then reinstall the enclosure. We will likely adjust the high pass/subsonic filter to a 48 db slope (max in JLA Tun) to around 28 hz and test and see how the sub selection changes the sound. With these enclosures tuning is very important.

if anyone has any questions, LMK.

We have just one pair of factory tower speakers and 4 -6"speakers (no sub or bow speakers). Last year the right side went completely out.
I've searched and there are few threads here that mention the gatorbak product. On other wakeboat forums it seems that people like the product but I know that Nautique is one of the heaviest boats in this category. My trailer is only 3 years old and needing carpet replaced and I am thinking of replacing with gatorbak. I guess my primary concern is how slick it might make the bunks. The Gatorbak company says that it's only a little bit slicker when wet, but when dry it is similar to carpet. I always trailer with the back straps on but take them off before backing down the ramp with the front strap always on until launch.
