I recently bought a dedicated boat for barefooting in addition to my Nautique. I am adding a tower to it and would like to hear from those who have either a Big Air or Aerial Tower to give me your thoughts if your satisfied with it. My current Nautique has a OEM FCT on it and its perfect. Just want to make sure I don't end up with a rattling, non solid tower since I am also going to be addding the BI ProX Tower Extension pylon to the top of it. Thanks in advance. I was going to buy a Samson but not willing to wait 20+ weeks to get it.

Hey all, to make a long story short, I hit a log last summer, which required replacing the prop, shaft, and v-drive. The problem is, the shop can't get the old v-drive completely out as the plate/mounts are so rusted/corroded that they can't get the nuts to budge without destroying the mounting bolts. Apparently, this part isn't made by Nautique anymore, and they weren't able to locate one anywhere else. They tried to see if one could be fabricated, but didn't have any takers.

So, I'm hoping someone out here might have any thoughts on what could be done to get us floating again! I think the part number is R109054 for the plate brace, but I have photos added for dramatic effect.

I'm trying to restore my dad's nautique. I've replaced the thermostat, new impeller and impeller pump. Before replacing these parts the boat would cold start and idle fine. After cruising around the lake then slowing down to go through a no wake zone or coming to an idle the boat would shut off and temp would be between 200-220. After cooling down for an hr I could get it back to the dock. It would not over heat when cruising and stay between 140-160. Put the old thermostat in a pot of water on stove and by the time the water temp got to 170 it would fully open but replaced with new thermostat anyways(tested new thermostat and it works as it should. It is a 160° thermostat). One odd thing to note: engine would not shut off when slowing down through a no wake zone or idling if engine cover is removed but still overheats. Past weekend i put a new thermostat and impeller/impeller pump on. Took the boat out to test it WITH engine cover removed again. Same thing still happened though. Would not shut off but when slowing down through no wake zone or idling, temp would still rise. I'm not that mechanic savvy so I'm at a loss as of what to do next. Any help with my issue would be greatly appreciated. Boat has a pcm 351 windsor in it. I've checked the exhaust manifolds and they are rusty on the inside and do need to be replaced but the water channels are not clogged.

Boat will not crank, there is slight movement when I press Start then I loose power to the Helm and I have to reset the main power toggle switch. I've replaced the Starter Relay, Starter, Safety Neutral Switch and Battery Cables, checked all Grounds and swapped the two Relays (ECC and Fuel Pump) and all I get is the slight crank movement then loose power to my Gauges. Could this be caused by a faulty Kill Switch? I've seen similar posts regarding this same situation but there's never a follow up with what the fix or fixes were. Appreciate any feedback, my boat needs to get wet asap. Thanks!

The fuel sending unit in the belly tank of my 2007 SV211 is dead.

I’m about to order a replacement and I'm debating between:

OEM 11.5" Swing Arm (Part #3450)

For anyone who has installed the WEMA on this era of boat:

Was it a simple plug-and-play install with the factory wires and bolt holes?

Hello,

The windshield on my SN 196 is really cloudy. The boat came from Florida. See attached pics. I have tried to clean it with 404 steel wool, 99% alcohol isopropyl and nothing seems to really work. My next thought is to use glass polish compound (3D) with a buffer and see how it comes out.

Anyone else have this kind of issue or have a better idea?
Best,

I’m very new here and pretty new to the whole surf thing so if I’m out of line let me know. When I was younger I mostly wanted to wakeboard on this boat. As I’ve gotten older and I’m waking up in the middle of the night to pee more often, I am seeing the light with surfing. It’s just… better? For me at least.

I had my ‘13 230 out with a crew of about 10 this weekend and I’m just not totally satisfied with my wave. Too much moving people to the back of the boat and being a mad scientist with setup to the point where I could tell it was getting annoying. I don’t want to be the annoying guy with the surf boat… I want to be the FUN GUY with the surf boat!

Previous owner had removed stock rear tanks and installed 450s in each locker. I am also running a triangle bag of an unknown weight under the front seats. I believe this front bag to be in the 400-600lb range. Again, previous owner did this.

I have been doing a lot of homework on getting this surf wave dialed in and was on the fence about the whole 750 vs 1100 debate. In fact I wasn’t even really sure if the 1100s were going to fit at all. Once I read a couple comments here that they do in fact fit, I figured I might as well overdo it so I don’t feel like I left anything on the table. I just pulled the trigger on a set of 1100s for the rears and I’m looking for some input from my 230 guys who run 1100s in their boat. I’m probably beating a dead horse but I’ve just not seen a lot of info from the 1100 crowd. So for all you crazy boys and girls out there who like a little junk in the trunk:

1.) Do y’all think the 400-600lb in the bow (again I’m working with rough numbers here) is enough to offset the massive weight of the 1100s in the rear? Or do I need more up front?
2.) How much are these rear bags going to affect my maneuverability and control when totally full in conjunction with a medium crew (usually 6-8 people)?
3.) Do I need to be worried about my newbie girlfriend driving when it’s just me and her? Does the boat become a total pig with this kind of weight?
4.) I’m not a very handy guy, but a couple of my good buddies are. What is the install process like and are there any modifications to any systems I should be aware of?
5.) Is there a way to configure the Linc controls to keep the pumps on to completely fill without running multiple pump cycles?
6.) Is there a way to configure/program the computer to know the total ballast I’m carrying?

Again, I’m sorry if this has already been covered. I’ve looked through so many topics regarding boat ballast in the past week that it’s all blending together and I don’t know what’s real and what’s not. Some of that info is nearly 15 years old too! I need some firsthand experience and guidance. If you made it this far thanks for listening to my rant you’re a gentleman and a scholar.

cheers
