  • Starter Solenoid Replacement on 2002 SN 196

I need to replace the starter solenoid on my SN. It is a starter mounted solenoid so currently connected to the starter. On nautiqueparts.com they do not have this individual solenoid and said if that went bad I will need to replace the entire starter. I have a hard time believing this and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction of where I can find just the solenoid for the starter to replace.

    Thanks

Hey, I have an `04 210 with the PCM 330 Excalibur engine. I had a starter problem also. Intermitting click, click, click.....like a dead battery in a car. Pulled the starter and diagnosed it as just the solenoid being the problem. I took the starter assembly to a local auto/marine electrical shop and they replaced just the solenoid for me and while they had it reconditioned the starter motor also. So far so good and it works just fine. Only cost me $60. Try finding a local shop that specializes in automotive electrical repair/maintenance.....ie. starters, alternators, etc. They should be able to fix you up.

2002 is the last year of the GT40 I believe. It was the changeover year anyway. If you have the Ford, here is your correct part:
