  • Meguiar's fiberglass resto on shadowing

I have some shadowing on the white part of the gelcoat on the back above the red, and some oxidation on the red towards the back. The reviews on here seem to be pretty good for the oxidation, but I'm wondering if this stuff can get rid of the shadowing as well. I'm planning on the 3 step kit, oxidation remover, polish, and the wax. Meguiar's M4965. Anyone have any knowledge of it on shadowing?

Here's a pic for ref... Not that you can really see the shadowing this far out.

depending on how sun-faded the rest of the color is, you may have to do a little wet sanding to even it out. I would start with either 1800 or 2000, and see how that works. If that isn't enough, go down to 1500... then back to 2000 followed by the polish and wax.

I try to remove as little gel as possible since it is only so thick, so you can try just the rubbing compound and polishing, but it may not be enough to get rid of it.
