  • 2007 SV-211.....battery/gauge issue

Last weekend while on the lake for the first time (don't ask) I noticed that the battery gauge was bottomed out at 10v. At the same time, I was unable to turn perfect pass on. After reading a bit on perfect pass, it appears it won't turn on and engage without a true 13v. Boat was operating fine on the water.

Simple things to try first, charge batteries on trickle charger. One took charge fine, one was replaced. Boat still seams to operate fine.

Today just put a meter on the batteries, 11.7 and 11.8 volts. Cranked boat over and getting 13.8 on first battery so it appears the alternator is operating. Still no reading on battery gauge.

Checked the engine ground (grounded to aluminum frame surrounding engine compartment and no corrosion, but cleaned it anyway.

I cannot find the ground location at the panel, any suggestions?

Also any general suggestions of what else to look at? I'm pretty decent at working on the boat, but electrical throws me every time.

    Terry
