  • G23 Interview With Shaun Murray, Greg Meloon and Bill Yeargin!

Bill Yeargin, Greg Meloon and Shaun Murray have agreed to take some questions from the PlanetNautique community about the G23 (or anything else Nautique-related)! Post your questions here, and I will compile them and get them answered.

I'll take questions here until Tuesday night at 9:00 PM EDT, and will get the answers back up soon after that.

This is your chance to get your questions answered directly by the people closest to the boat!

Where do we see the 230 going in the future now that there is a second 23 foot boat in the line up?

I really liked the sliding rear seat and I think its a great selling point over the original design in the 210. Any chance of making this same style seat work in the 210 and 230?

Thanks and keep building sick boats!

Is there going to be an all new 210, named the G21, with all the features of the G23?

          1) Can you talk about the ballast system? Is it a similar system with pumps?
          2) Please talk about the automated hydro-plate. How does it work? Will the driver have the ability to control it or not?

In addition to the wakeboard wake, I love the looks of the surf wake!

          3) a. Can you explain the construction process of the hull and stringer system? How do you get to 5,400 lbs.
          3) b. How and why does this boat have a great rough water ride? (I assume it relates to 3 a?)

          4) How does this boat turn? Compared to say a 200 sport or Malibu VTX?
          5) Loving the outside the box thinking with faux teak floor and cooler. I'm sure some people love carpet, so wondering if that will be an option or not?

          Thanks in advance!

In all the promo vids - was any extra weight added, or was that just internal ballast that created that wake?

I too like the questions Migs and lionel have ask shaun, but to go a little farther, would Shaun ever put more weight in if riding with his buddies ? I think that's the magic answer .

What is the height with the tower down? Does the windshield become the highest point still? And can it fit in standard height garage?

Shaun told me yes they would have one at TBS and that he would be pretty high on the pecking order to get one...if that helps

Would love to hear more about the shallower draft combined with the heavier dry weight and how this plays into the wake.

Not anything official, but comparing the G23 to a 2012 210, I would say there is no way it would fit in a standard 7ft garage. I do know that the tower will not go lower than the windshield like the 210 tower will. Jeff, I would still ask Greg Meloon for something official though.

I have a question for Greg Meloon and Bill Yeargin. When are we going to see a Murray edition boat? Who else wants to see a Murray Edition!?

What is the storage compartment right behind the cooler compartment and also the access hatches in the storage lockers. Are those just insepection hatches?

Also, tell us more about how the trim tab is automatically controlled from the LINC system. Can it adjust manually as well?
