We use this boat for slalom skiing through the course. The wake is nice and the boat is great but as a driver, the handling is kind of pathetic. The steering cable is fairly new and we recently replaced the rudder packing. The steering isn't stiff but when we go to turn around at speed, it doesn't want turn very sharp and takes a fairly wide path. So wide in fact that I typically won't turn in the direction of the nearest shore (right or left) and the shore is at least 20-30 feet outside of the slalom course. I'm used to boats where the nose dives down and the back end slides around but this boat just will not do that.
Had anyone done anything that might improve this? Mods? Adding weight in the bow?
