My daughter wants to start wakeboarding and I am looking on a beginner board for her. Can someone recommend a board that will last a few seasons and will allow her to progress? She is 6 years old and weighs 49 lbs.

Also, can someone recommend a pair of boots as well? I have seen sizes S/M (3 to 6) but don't know if these will fit her (she is a size 12 / child).

Last but not least, she wants a pink board (go figure) and I found found the following:

1) Gladiator Xena 124 Wakeboard
2) CWB Bella Wakeboard 124

Any experience with these boards?

Thanks.

not sure what to think. it works for snowboarding, but i don't know if hyperlite designed it with quality in mind. it's alot cheaper than a nice snowboard binding while the boots are on the high end of a snow boot price point. i swore off hyperlite when ronix started and probably won't go back, but this is so intriguing.

After surfing a little last year, and deciding I'm going to do more of it. I decided to buy a Inland Surfer Sweet Spot. I was riding a Obrian Alias. Rode it for the first time today. I ride port, with factory port and center ballast full, a 750lb fat sack on the port seat, about 300lb lead weight under the bow seat on the port side at 10 MPH. With the old board I could let go of the rope, but if I fell out of the pocket I couldn't recover and felt like I had to focus on staying in the pocket the entire run. The Sweet Spot is so quick and I could drop back 12-15 feet off the platform and easily recover. I wasn't sure if I was buying too far above my ability, and I did, but this thing rocks and I'm so glad I did. I really didn't want to add more weight due to the other things we use the boat for. I've read other posts on this board about having trouble staying in the pocket or riding too close to the platform, so I wanted to share.
