  • Gas Fumes

I just got my 07 SV 211 back form the dealer. One of the concerns was gas fumes in the engine compartment that would spread to the other locker and even to the ski locker. They said they tightened up a few connection and over the past 3 months they have had it they could not smell anything. Well it has been home three days and the smell is back. Has anyone else had this problem? Not with the dealer but any late model boat. My 98 Malibu never smell of gas except when filling.

    RE: Gas Fumes

Let me try this again. Do any of you smell gas in your engine compartments in late model boats?

        RE: Gas Fumes

My '02 SANTE smells like gas every time I get it out of storage.

But then again I top the tank off on the way back to staorage and it has the cover on it while it is in storage to keep any trash and bugs out of it.

Pull the cover back, and it smells like gas. Run the blower and it goes away.
