Has anyone ever tried one of these? If so, how did it do?

Bass tubes are a thing of the past. I can't remember the last time I saw someone use one.

Powerd Bass Tubes are kind of hokey but IMO they have there place in the maket, If I had a Rent a Car or a car that needed some bass and I didnt want to do the whole install thing I could see throwing one in.

As far as bass tubes I heard the JL demo Car and they had a W-7 in a clear tube mounted in a trunk of a caddy thats what made me make my tube. This thing pounds I havent heard a W-7 that sounds as good as this one in this configuration.

Hey whitechocolate, do you have any room on your boat for gear or is it all taken up by electronics?

(LOL) My wife packs everything we could or would possible need for the entire weekend on the boat. I have tried to cut her back but she is stubbern. Of course it is nice when it's time to eat and she pulls out the Pic-A-Nic-A-Basket with a spread that makes you feel like you are getting a nine course meal.
