I've been riding the same board since 2001, so I think I'll be getting a new one soon. I'm looking at the Temet 142.3, and will probably demo one this weekend or next. I know a few people on PlanetNautique ride the Temet, so if you could post your thoughts on the board, that would be great.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to other boards that might be good to try? I'm 6'2" and about 205. What about the TFD?
I think if you demo the Temet it will make up your mind for you. I just purchased the Temet 142.3 DNA. Great board, I’ve been really happy with it.
The board has great landings, very soft compared to quite a few other boards I’ve ridden. The bottom of the board doesn’t really have any flat places, so be careful the first time you stand on the swim platform to put it on, it’s pretty slippery.
It has a smooth continuous rocker, so it’s less abrupt when hitting the wake than a Byerly or Premiere are. The board seems pretty quick and comfortable in the water. The two edge fins really lock in when you want them to, and at the same time, it’s pretty easy to break the board free if you want. This board is kind of at the opposite end of the Parks in regards to slipperiness. That board felt really sticky to me, this one is pretty comfortable.
I’ve ridden the foam and the DNA. Everyone will tell you to get the foam, because the DNA is just a gimmick. I prefer the DNA because I feel it is a little snappier and responds a little quicker. Weight is almost identical, so you aren’t going to notice much of a difference there.
The TFD is about the only Hyperlite board I haven’t ridden, my one and only impression of it is that I thought it was REALLY heavy when I picked it up at a boat show.

I have the Temet, and it seems good to me. I have never ridden anything else though, and I am a very newby to wakeboarding.
The goog thing about the temet is that it is directional. If you put the binding son one way, toe side riding is more grippy than heel side riding, and for people like me that are learning, you can put the bindings on te other way, and get a more grippy board in the heel side riding.
I think I described it right, but could be wrong. Either way it makes it a little more stable when riding switch since most people are not as comfortable riding that way.

I've never claimed to be a wakeboarder, but I just rode my friend's '03 TFD. That thing is FAST, I was even more out of control than normal.
I very recently bought a ERA 140 (old premier) and love it! It was between that and the TEMET for me. I didn't really have a good opportunity to demo the TEMET or I might have got that. The old Premier i was familiar with, hence my decision was made. I also saved about $80.

Hear VERY good things about the CWB Absolute....it may be worth a demo.
I ride a Premier and love it, but boards are like pants, some just don't feel right. Or boats....everyone loves the one they have.
Narrow your choice to three and take all of them out for a demo....

If you don't love the one you have, get a different one. We bought the boat we loved (within $ reason).

I guess the point being, what is "perfect" for one person is not a great fit for another.

So some other boards to consider that I like:
LF Balance and Substance
CWB Absolute and Prodigy
These are 4 boards that I will be looking at this year to try and possibly purchase (only purchasing one) :-)
I was riding a Rythmn until I went to OWC and rode the 04 Byerly. I really like the way it grips with the center fins in, but I can take them out for some slippery fun. My friend bought a TFD on sale and it is a wild ride! I think it is fast and slippery. FWIW I think it is wayyy lighter than my Byerly. I would say it is comparable to my LF board.

I ride the Cwb absolute. I tried my friends hyper light but liked the cwb better. Different strokes foe different fokes I guess. I had to put larger fins on though. Set up stock it is pretty slick for my riding capabilities.
