View Full Version : 2007 Ski 196 Ltd. ZR6
Here it is, the official GO FAST sponsored boat in Kansas City. Primarily used for INT tournaments, but also used at the Kansas City River Frest. Unfortunatly due to rain, only one show.
196 Limited with the ZR6 engine. PP pro, heater defrost, rear pull out cleats, with new Ram-lin with all the upgrades. Tri color bimini and a full cover that covers the entire boat down to the waterline. Available in September. This boat is the sweetest 196 I have had.
I forgot to add the stereo upgrade. 750 Watt 5 cannel amp with a Kicker 10" sub. This boat ROCKS!
JJ, sweet boat. How does the ZR6 compare in pulling slalom?
Hey Steve,
I love the engine. It runs smoother and is quieter then the 5.7. Hole shot is not much better, but the midrange is alot stronger. I had them put the 5.7 prop on it which is the same size, just less cup. This is my first ZR6, great engine.
Just a word to the wise, JJ's boats are always top notch. You won't go wrong buying this one. I bought his 2003 206 and it was perfect.

I went out to Riverfest on that rainy Saturday, but I didn't get to see the show. Had to leave early... Where do you ride around KC?
Yea, we only had one show friday night. We were rained out Saturday. I live at Lake Winnebago.
Thanks Steve for the compliment. I'm sure that'll cost me!!

SGY's in the market to replace his 05 196...looks like your 07 would be perfect for him!
Edwin, put the crack pipe down. You're the one that needs a hard core ski boat to compliment a pontoon boat.
Savvy?

Tell ya what SGY - I'll meet you in JJ's neck of the woods so we can test drive / ski his boat. My guess is that the ZR6 will be smoother than you Excal, no vibes at all...almost like a sewing machine. Bring that check book of yours :)
I'm here all week! I'll supply the beer. After the skiing.

Then you 2 can make your way up to my lake and compare the ZR6 against the 5.7 in my boat.
Nice looking boat JJ.

I'll wait for SGY's return from Grand Lake, CO before heading over that way JJ. Maybe the last week of the month. He's been looking for a new ride, especially one with a ZR6.
Sounds like both of you need a new one. Why don't you work out a "buddy" deal and go in on it together. St. Louis and CO isn't too far to work things out between friends. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

While Edwin, SGY, and JJ and determining the merits of the ZR6 and the excalibur, Mark and I will have skied three sets and be through the first 6 pack....
The Naner is running great and is going to be around for a while I think.

Edwin, If your buddy comes to St. Louis to see you and wants to try out a ZR6, you are welcome to check this one out. Looks, runs, drives, and skis perfect, just like all of my previous boats.

Actually, the first picture is in Wright City, MO, just west of St. Louis, the second is in Jacksonville, IL at Darr Luetz's lake. Both are great sites.
Dave
JJ, I'll be up that way August 16. You going to be around? Edwin, I'll meet you there.
Dave, does Edwin ski with you at the Wright City location? I know he gained a membership somewhere in that area.
All nice boats. I'm going to ask my son if he'll put off college for a year or two and pick one.

SGY,
If you get him an 2007, he could blow off collage and concentrate on being a PRO and supporting you when you are old. Who needs school.
I'm already old.
He has a decidely better chance at being a pro that his old man. Unless they have a slow course catagory where breaking at the waste is rewarded.

You could always ski at the DRs place in Wi. I heard it is real easy to ski there. Just press a button and run 39.
I like to leave the switch section on the rope.

SGY,
I will be around August 16th. Actually we have a "learn to ski" day with our club.
Let me know when you are available for a ski ride.
FYI, This boat is going to Midwest Regionals in Wichita KS. Come see and ski it.
I grew up in Wichita. Where's the regionals going to take place in Ta-Town and when?
At Mystic lake. I have no Idea where it's at. You could probably check out the USA waterski website for more info. You Going?
Don't you have to qualify for regionals?
I could be talked into going and watching if its convenient. When is it?
I'm probably not going until Sunday. One of my students is going. She is in girls 3 and usually gets deap into 28 off. Her father is a good friend of mine, and owner of my 2002 196, and he will probably take my boat out there Wednesday evening. I'm spending this weekend setting it up. Oh, sorry, Regionals is next weekend.
Just to let everyone know, this boat has less then 70 hrs on it. I get a lot of compliments on this boat. Please contact me if you are interested. Sweet Boat for anyone who wants a 6.0.
