I am currently riding and liking my 2004 Sixam 1.0. I am sharing the ski with my nephew and I am starting to trash his bindings so I need to buy him or me a new setup. I know that Andy departed before the 2006 was finalized. I typically ski 34/28off+, I might even consider the wider Sixam but I am hesistant to do that skiing behind my 211 with tug boat wakes.

Any opinions?

Mikeski,
here is the link to the 2006 ski test. We did both the 1 and 2.

MARK, how come you guys didn't test D3 this year?

D3 had nothing new at test time, so they stayed out. We did the Nomad in 06, and d3 was not happy with our results. I did not like the Nomad, but I love the X5. The x5 has all the comfort of a D3 smooth ride and a bunch of speed.

I was riding a 69" 1 point (2006). I just started riding one of the new 2007 67.5" 2 points that I got from Drew Ross. Brand new design. For me it is a much better ski....I run 34mph 15' off. The ski seems to turn much easier than the 1 point. I am no expert, but the length may be influcing that as much as anything.

At the tests, all the 36mph people liked the 1 and the 34 MPH liked the 2 point.
