A note of thanks to all who offered advice on my stiff steering or slop as it was called. I dismantled the rudder, tiller arm etc, having first removed the fuel tank for easier access. Repacked and regreased just about everything that came off the assembly, put it all back together and took it for a spin.
Wow, what a difference, turns so much easier in both directions. A UK dealer would have charged me a fortune to have that done.
