Going up this weekend for a family reunion and I am looking for info on Lake Delevan. Specifiacally a good area to launch. Any other info would be appreciated.

Do you need to be on Delevan, does someone have a house on there? The reason I am asking is that Delevan is a mud bottom lake so it is a bit dirtier than Geneva Lake. I have not been to Delevan in some time but I understand in the afternoon it gets as busy as Geneva. You might want to consider going to Geneva as the mornings can actually be pretty smooth (it was glass last weekend from 7 am - 10 am across much of the lake). If you need to be on Delevan, I think there is a launch just off hwy 50 on your way to lake lawn lodge.
Others will tell you that if you want great water up in that area to head to Powers or Twin Lakes. I have never put the boat in there (have a house on Geneva) but they are both much smaller with less boats and less wind affected.
I might be up on Geneva lake Saturday around noon, let me know if you are going to be on the lake. Would be good to run into another member.
Hope that helps.

I have not been on Delavan or Geneva in many years however I remember both being really choppy and busy as stated above, Twin Lakes will be no better perhaps even worse on Lake Mary (no wake until 9am) and from what I understand Powers gets pretty busy as well. Lake Como may be your best bet in that area for decent water after early AM.

Unless you're tubing, fahgetabodit.

fahgetabodit.
It must be the food coma but that took me a long time to figure out what that was.
So, anywhere up here that has good water past the AM? I have been to Como (not with a boat) after 6 pm and it was great but I have no idea what the long term outlook is.

Try to find an unpoliced lake in IL, the WI DNR likes to come out early on the weekends and will nail you for making a wake too early.
The only decent runs we get are in the late evenings.

Guys, just so you know.......Lake Como is about 5 feet deep.
Lots of WI riders over at www.midwestwakeboarder.com and there is a great wake shop in Lake Geneva [BS] Board Shop that would be happy to provide tips on where to launch.
