Just wondering if anyone from the site is planning on coming to Kerr Lake this summer? If so let me know, I posted a couple of pics of our most recent camping trip at Satterwhite Point campground, We had two sites over there for 11 days over the July4th.

We ride at Falls in Raleigh. The boat we purchased spent most of it's life at Kerr. Great lake.

Great picts as well.

Ahhh, pictures of home!!! I grew up on Kerr and Gaston for the first 21 years of my life, parents are still there, but they're not boat owners. I moved down here to NC and working the hours that I do, can't find time to get back home. If you're looking for a good meal, go into South Hill and head to Kahill's. Great steak....enjoy the clean water!!!

Oh yeah, his boat rocks! A Super Air with a Python...what could be better?

Yeah, we took a late set that night out on the water using the tower lights just as the sun went down. That was a great night! We had just taught four new people to wakeboard, and I told them that we'd head out at dusk so everyone could get some good water.

If you are talking about Van with the 01 red SAN with the Python his daughter and son in law were the previous owners of my 94 Sport. Van owned it before he bought the 01 as well.

That Python sounds so **** good.

That Python sounds so darn good. That would be the Van I know, by the way his SAN is a 02, You got a nice Sport Nautique for sure. I know the boat, seen it many times when they owned it. Im curious how many hours is on that boat now?

Kerr Lake loyal here for a good 6-7 years now. I've been on most of the lakes in NC at least once and I would rather be on Kerr that any of the others I've visited. It also helps that I only live about an hour from the boat ramp. Huge lake with lots of great coves, very clean, and quiet for for the most part. I usually hang out around County Line and Kimball Point. I'm pretty sure I saw Jeff's boat this past labor day on the ramp side of County Line? I will also add there seem to be right many Nautiques on that lake, more than any other high end wakeboard boats.

I just purchased my SANTE this fall so it hasn't been on Kerr that much. That will change come April so I will keep a look out for guys that visit Kerr.

Here is a picture of my boat sitting in one of my favorite spots on the lake.

Yeah man, that was me! There were a TON of Nautiques in the cove that day. I think we counted about six or seven just in that cove alone. It was crazy!

We have always gone to the ramp on Flemington Road. We have some friends that have a trailer there, I think it's just northeast of SW Point Marina.

Cool. That's not far from the area we usually hit.

Good to see some folks in NC. Just bought my first Nautique, a Super Air 220 with ZR6. I am based on Lake Hickory, NC. I know where Lake Kerr is. Looking for good camping and boating for 3 day weekend with the family. What do you folks recommend?

Look forward to seeing folks on the water. Contact me if you plan on being on Lake Hickory, we'll try and hook up. I am out almost every Saturday morning (when I'm not traveling).

Cheers.

I'll be camping at County Line Park July 22 - July 28. If anyone wants a pull behind the 236, let me know.

Jeff,

Good thing my son is at Lake Gaston right now with no internet connection. If he saw your invitation to get pulled behind a 236, he would make me drive him over to take you up on that. He LOVES the 236.

Daviscs3,

My husband and son will be at Lake Hickory tomorrow. They are going to look at a 210 SANTE that is for sale there. If all goes well (which we are pretty sure it will), the boat will be heading home to Lake Gaston next week.

Jeff, we hope to be driving into County Line park on July 27th. I'll keep my eye out for your 236, if you see a white and blue Excel come by and say hi.

We've never been there and are pulling this together at the last minute. Anything we should know...must bring items, things/places to avoid, etc.

Thanks, Tim

Nothing special. The closest town is going to be Henderson, and it is about 15 miles south on 85. There aren't many places to buy supplies other than that. There is one store (Buchanan's Grocery) close to the park. Their motto is, "If we ain't got it, you don't need it!"

They don't have much.

The park is great, and it is in a good location on the lake. You'll always be able to find good water, even on the weekends. That's why I like Kerr Lake so much.

We'll keep an eye out for you. If you spot us out on the water, flag us down!

Thanks for the info. Everyone who has been there raves about it. Still not 100% sure we can pull it off but I'm trying. Have to get my klan's schedules to align but so far its looking good.

GastonRider,

We were out of town this past weekend, so just got you post. Hope it worked out for you. If you're here again keep an eye out for a red and black superair 220. Hope your trip went well.

Jeff, I am going tomorrow for the day and may try to get back there Sunday. If I don't catch you this weekend I should be there on the 28th. Do you plan on staying that whole day or do you pack it up early on the final day?

Depends on how well my 7-month-old is doing. We'll just have to wait and see...
