I saw this boat at the boat show and was very impressed. I have read all of the bashing regarding the boat, but still am very much considering it. I have an '82 right now.

The 211 looks like a really nice boat. Not too many people on this site have been bashing it. I still want to take one out before I form my opinion on the boat, but if the hydro-gate works as they say it does, it sounds like a very versitile boat.

The people that are bashing the boat are the ones that haven't seen it in person and haven't driven it. The 211 is an awesome boat and the gate is a very simple concept that works extremely well. Here is a way to look at the gate. It is a vertical plate on the back of the transom. If you look at the TSC2 hull, you will see the dispersion tunnel right down the center. If you look at the back of the tunnel, you will see where the hull has a "hook" in it (it drops down lower than the tunnel in the back part of it). That "hook" creates a lifting effect. What CC did was they took out the hook and now they use the gate to either add the hook (the gate would be lowered and lift the transom for skiing) or they can raise the gate and take the "hook" out of the hull to make it drop lower in the water. Real simple concept that is very effective! Drive the boat when you get the opportunity. You will love it!

Not sure if this shows it clearly enough but I posted it anyways.

Thanks for the feedback. We are mainly wakeboarders, but have a 4yr old daughter who skis! I guess everyone is looking for the ultimate crossover boat. I love the walkthru transom...especially with kids. As soon as it gets a little warmer we're gonna' do a water-test. Planning on the purchase of a new nautique around 1/05 so don't want to test too soon caus' I know I won't want to go home without it!
