I was wondering what the smallest size or demensions would be needed to store an Air 216 in a garage. We have an 82 Ski Nautique and that fits in the same garage we are considering to put this 216 in pretty well. We have a duel axle Ram-Lin Trailor and also wondering how much wider the garage would need to be to store the boat in the garage on the trailer, oppose to hanging it. We would be willing to fold down the tower, but I think taking the platform off would be a bit of pain to do every time. We expect the garage to be too small, so we are planning on putting up one of those outdoor tents. But I just wanted to make sure that our garage really was too small for this boat. It would suck to leave your boat outdoors when it can be in a nice garage.

Also, if it is too small, does anyone have any suggestions for some nice quality tents that can stand most weather. Preferably with sides and tall enough to fit the boat without folding the tower.... Anybody know any good types/companies etc??? Thanks in advance!

Pulling the platform off is as easy if not easier than folding the tower.

Hmm... didn't realize that. But wouldn't you have to take off all of those metal pieces that hold it up? Aren't there like four of them? So in other words, are you taking off just the piece you steop on, or the whole gig from the stern?

You would just pull off the teak. The brackets barely stick out past the transom. The ramlin trailer also offers a nice swing away tongue so once the platform is off and the tongue is folded to the side, the boat is back to 21'6"

That swinging tongue will definately come in handy...

I forgot to mention this in my other post, but width is also a potential problem. The trailer must add a foot or two of width. As far as i know, there are no options that reduce that. Does anyone know off hand what the total width is of a 216 on a duel axle ramlin trailor?

The trailer has to be less then 108" outside demensions, othewise you would have to have wide load permits. If your garage is a standard door it should fit, although it might be tight.
