If anyone is interested, I added hydraulic surge brakes to my 1987 Correct Craft trailer a couple of years ago, and I would be happy to answer any questions.
I bought an Attwood actuator and Dexter brakes and hubs. See www.dexteraxle.com for more info. Dexter has a really good literature/technical section on their site.
It cost me $550 when all done, but definitely worth it since I am pulling my Ski Nautique with an S-10 4x4 Chevy Blazer.
It was relatively easy to do since CC already had installed the mounting flanges for the brakes on the axle.
