Congrats! I'm not sure about slalom skis for infants, and six months, WOW I don't know any kids that walk at Six months. My wife did start skiing on 2 skis when she was only 2 years old and her younger brother was still only 1 when he first skied. So, the wait shouldn't be too long even if you can't beat the world record.
