What is your number one favorite thing about your Nautique? Tell us which year and model you have too.

The looks! I like the new designs, but I think the old "SKI NAUTIQUE" in huge letters on the side is a classic, timeless design. I love the 1990-96 hull, with the sloped transom. The boat is 13 years old and still looks awesome, I think it's a a tribute to the CC designers. Look at a MC or a Malibu from the same era, and they look DATED in comparison. The 1990-96 CC still looks awesome.

I have a 1990 ski nautique and just simply like how it looks like a newer boat... People are always amazed when I say it's a 1990, I'm sure 90% of the planet wouldn't even question if I said it was a 1996.

The boat is Yellow and Black - seems to catch heads on the water (But what Nautique/Mastercraft doesn't!!!).

I agree - the 90-96 era of nautique is timeless.

I third that, we have a '93 SN blue/grey. Love the looks, and people are amazed when they find out it's a '93. Daryl-I'd love to see the yellow/black combo, haven't seen one of that erra. When we were looking it was hard to find one that wan't teal purple or red. Nothing against those colors, just not my preference. I also love how well they are built and how well they pull even weighted. I know I will stir up a storm here, but I don't like the way it backs to the left. I would be better for me if I can pull up to the dock after unloading and be able to catch the boat on the dock by myself under windy/adverse conditions.

the backing thing is always an issue believe me, I regularly ski on a 1997 MC PS190, LT1 so when I get in my Nautique everything gets really confusing!!!

Left on the Nautique, Right on the MC, big pain in the a**

But don't get me wrong - I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING!

I have an 03 SANTE and I would have to say the overall styling/graphics is what I like best. Having the ability to custom place colors where you want them is great. 2nd is perfromance. It's one heck of a wake!

I have a 02 SAN, with 3 ballast and a huge audio system!
the quality was the main issue why choose a nautique !! :shock:
and also the storage, and the nice little feature with keyless ignition... and and..

What I like most about nautiques in general is quality. I have a 1986 with 2008 hours on it. The motor was rebuilt, new vinyl and a 4 blade prop was added but other than that the structure of the boat (fiberglass, and striggers) are as good as they were 17 years ago.

what I like most, probably the quality and the reliability.... and the FCT.... but most of all the wake...

The handling and ride are great. Wakes are great for boarding and slalom. Sounds a little quieter than other inboards. Power, responsiveness, looks, I love everything. Quality........ thats a no brainer!! Whats not to like about any Nautique??

We have a 1991 Nautique Excel, Yellow & Black. We live in Kansas & ride alot in OK. & MO. We have never been on a lake with another Excel ever, and everywhere we go someone always asks what kind of boat is that. No one can believe its a 91. (whats a V- Drive)? :lol: [/b]

Gotta be the quality. My 88 feels better than any Malibu I've ever driven, and still looks good. M3Fan said it well too, other older inboards boats don't even compare.

I love the looks of the old 2001 models, no other pre-95 boats even compare to nautiques in looks or quality.

The best thing is the handleing by far! My family owns a '82 Ski Nautique with the classic letterring. Not only does it look classec, but it drives like a Ferrari even compared to a 210 which would drive like a catalac instead. And even modern 210's handle 100+ times better than other boats like Master Craft and Malibu.
