Does anyone have a ski skimmer training ski they no longer need and would like to sell. I have a 3 year old who wants to start skiing this summer and I think one of these U shaped mono skis would be the best way to get him up without much trouble so he starts enjoying skiing the first time.

Do you have training skis? I had my youngest up on the boom when she was 4. Basically, as soon as the boat was in gear she was up. :) I dragged beside her hanging on to the boom with one hand....and holding one of her skiis stable with the other. It worked great though I wish she would have gotten tired faster. :)

My friend has one; I'll ask him if he wants to sell. Do you want to make an offer? I also have a spare pair of training skis if you're interested.

redelf,

See if your friend is interested in selling and we can go from there. I can get a new one w/o shipping for $100. I am in the Detroit area and am not sure what shipping costs would be. Thanks for checking with your friend.

check Ebay also...I bought something very similar last year. It's not exactly the same, but it should work the same. I only paid $30....including shipping.

Looks like my friend wants to hold onto it for another friend for his 2 year old. sorry. But I do have the training skies that tie together front and back and have the attached ski handle. Almost as good, but will take your kid to the next level. I think they're O'Brien- a little beat up but cheep.

I have trainers, a skimmer and the one in Bigbald's pic which we refer to as the BobSked.
The Bobsked is great to just get them going on water either laying kneeling or standing with almost no chance of falling, the skimmer is a good next step to get them used to standing yet a bit easier than the ski's.
Another place to look is for used gear is www.ski-it-again.com.
