Does anybody know where I can have the jump seat repaired? The plastic back rest has cracked and needs to be replaced. I just don't want any upholstry outfit to do it unless that is my only choice.

is it the backing or the fabric? if its the fabric, you might be able to get a 'skin' from the dealer. if it's the backing, could you use a sheet of plexiglass or something? post a picture so we can see what you are talking about.

It is the plastic backing. Fabric is good! The plastic backing is cracked from standing on it.

you may be covered under warrenty. talk to your local dealer. i would see if they could at least get you the plastic pannel as a freebie. asking and being nice will go pretty far.
you could try some gorilla glue, but i would replace it with the factory part. ship it back to the factory of you have to.
frost, are the panels made out of sheet pvc or melamine?

stumble into your local dealer and buy a few odds and ends. tune up kit, new rope ect. then see if the owners around and casualy mention your seat. it will be a service managers job to say NO and make money for the dealer.
maybe mid or fixer will chime in here. i would send it back to the factory and have it fixed back to OE specs no matter wha the cost.

I just contacted CC and they told me that they do not repair stuff like that. They said my dealer would fix it, but I'm not too keen on my local dealer. I want to get it repaired properly so I don't have any problems with it down the road. Any advice?

Or ask around other dealers.

How about Mid-Ohio Nautiques (http://www.midohionautiques.com/index2.htm)? They have been very helpful whenever my wife and I have needed anything.
Give Eric or James a call at (419) 929-9119.
