This is the one that got away. When I was dating my wife - was all good, got married and something had to go. Hmmm, you think I made the right choice?
Just Kidding Kristi - if you're reading this Yellow_Flash_Colorz:
This is a 1980 930 Turbo Porsche (Gray Market Car)
Had 28k orig. miles when I got it in '97.
Many $$$ and upgrades later: Approx. 650 HP, 2" add'l drop, 200MPH car and an absolute 40MPH+ monster
Just thought I'd share...guess it wouldn't have pulled my Nautique very well up the ramps...huh?
Definitely wish I was able to get ahold of the guy I sold her to.

Yeah, that Porsche rocks! I had a '67 911S and an '84 Carrera convertible.
I also still have my first car, a 1967 VW Beetle convertible.

Well, since everyone is now posting their sports cars, this was mine untill I sold it after I bought my truck. 1988 300zx with 225,000 miles and it still purred like a kitten, the engine that it. The tires would scream like... well... something really loud! hehe!
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y140/surroundsound64/101_0164.jpg
I sold it to a friend of mine who wrecked it it 13 days later.
Now this is my toy!!!
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y140/surroundsound64/107_0759.jpg
It's not actually mine though. It's a friend of mine's who lets me fly it for free! Can't get any better than that because I don't have to pay for maintinance or inspections! hehe.

NautiqueJeff - Bet you are wishing you still had that 67 911S. The old S's are pulling in some serious dough right now. Currently I have an 85 911 Carrera RoW model. Tons of fun.

You know it! I was a fool to get rid of that car. It had some wiring issues, but nothing that I would consider major now. I sold it after owning it for only 2 years. I have owned a few cool cars, including two E30 BMW's, the Porsches, and the VW, and the 911S is the one I still kick myself for getting rid of.

I honestly never liked porsches until I saw & drove the 930. That wide body is unreal.
There's a lot to be said for a high powered turbo like that - carburated engines simply don't compare.

It gets called a Cub a lot, but it's a Cessna 140.

Not really a speed machine, but nonetheless I'd be driving it now if I didn't have to buy a tow vehicle! 99 E46 323i Sports Package 5spd! Awesome car, loved the rims. Again, the //M3 will come one day...

Well, since you asked, here is my "off-water toy." 1964 Corvette with Original Paint, Original Interior, and matching numbers (original engine/trans/rear end). 327/300 HP w/ 4-speed. It has received a Top Flight award from the National Corvette Restorers Society.

MaceDayDave - that is VERY sweet!
My dad has a 1962 Vette with 32k orig miles - very cool cars. Definitely do not make that like that anymore.
He's got a '99 and '04 also and don't come close to comparing with the raw HP.
Impressive!

Scottrob,
Thanks! I have also had other Corvettes while owning the 1964, but I always kept the '64 after selling the others. I just love the styling and performance of this one.
However, I have had the opprotunity to drive a new 505hp Z06 Corvette for a few days, and THAT is an awesome car. It's the first new car I have driven that has the raw performance of my old drag race Camaro, plus it can turn and stop!

1965 Galaxie Convertable, 35k original miles. Had to get the wife a bigger convertable because she did not like my 83 Mustang Convert.
She puts up with the boats and the cars, so I thought she needed a toy.
Also have a 1929 Dump truck with 15k original on it

Drumma,
Look for an an old 2002 or 1602. That's OG Beemer. I'd be glad to give you the home, cell and work telephone numbers for a college buddy of mine who swiped from me at a weak and poor moment in my mid-20s a very clean, white exterior/navy interior '69 1602 w/ dual Webers. If he sells it to you, I'll buy it from you at a 25% premium.
