Carpet Burns and not on the knees

Anybody have hints on how to repair carpet. A trouble lamp melted some spots around the engine cover. I would like to make it look new again. Thanks for the help.

mpas, What year and model is your boat?

Are you talking about the carpeting along the bottom edge of the engine cover, or the carpet on the floor around the engine cover?

Hmm... That's too bad. On that boat, the carpet is all one piece. I suppose your only options would be to replace the entire piece. I have not done anything like that before, but I have heard through other forum members that it can be a pain.

Too bad it isn't the part on the engine cover. That could be pretty easily replaced.

I would start out calling Son Watersports at (763) 422-9800. They're in MN, but it looks like they are your closest dealer. They should be able to get the carpet. If they can't help you for some reason, call the Correct Craft factory. The number is 1-800-346-2092.
