Here are a few pics to ponder. This first one is supposedly a 98.

it is a ski nautique 176. was comparable to what malibu does with their sportster. They put a carb in it and made it shorter. Very fun boat to drive.

yeah there was an air tique 176 as well. I really think correct craft needs to do something similar to this again. So if anyone from CC is listening, go to the drawing boards!!!!

Ah, I've never seen a 176 from the back. I thought it was some older model with a reglassed rear end. The rub rail isn't the same as on other 97-99s, and there is no rear lift ring from what I can see. The more I look at it the shorter it gets now. SN is good...

The lifting rings are within the platform like the 90-96 SN. The boat was designed to be more identical to the 90-96 in a shorter, less expensive version.

I never remember an air version of the 176, when I would build that we never put ballast in it... where would we put it? I don't even recall the boat getting a tower....

could this be an after market thing?

The Air Tique/Nautique 176, with such features as rack and pinion steering, tilt-steering wheel, PCM Power Plus transmission, a limited lifetime warranty transferable up to five years and a 43 inch pylon for trick aerial maneuvers, is sure to please many Correct Craft fans. The standard 260 hp PCM V8 allows boaters to max out at 45 mph. The Air Tique is a terrific boat for barefoot waterskiers, multi-skiers, and wakeboarders.

Frost,
They did it but it was pretty much the early days of the towers and I never saw one with a tower on it but it did come from the factory saying "Air Tique" on it.

frost, we might have to change your screen name to 'chilled' or 'thawed.'

i have never seen one either, but it would improve my three point game if you leave it under the goal. 8)
