I finally had a chance to check out the 206. While I was very impressed, I had a big problem with the lack of leg room at the driver's seat and it seemed as it the foot board was not solid. The dealer said that's the way it was designed, and no options were added that would have shortened the leg room. I sat in some other company's similar models and did not have this problem. Any idea what's up with this?

That footboard should be solid. I have never had an issue with the leg room. I bet he did something to mess with it. Try another one if you can.

I agree that the footboard should be solid. When my heater was installed, the installer did not reinstall the footboard properly, and it needed to be reattached. The screws are kind of a pain to get back into the original holes, so I think that might be why he didn't mount mine properly. I was able to get it back together though, and it is solid now.

I have not heard any complaints about leg room in the 206. I don't mean to state the obvious, but was the seat adjusted properly? I have been in a 206, and with the seat all the way back, there is enough room for me. I am 6'2".

My 2003 206 limited has adjustable seat and steering column. I am 6'2" and my usual ski partner is 6'6" and neither of us have any problems with leg room. I wonder whether someone has messed up the foot board, maybe when installing stereo, perfect pass or a heater. Sit in another 206 and see if you have the same problem.

I must say that I have to agree that it is tight in the legroom department. I just got back from our show and was surprised to see this post because I was with a customer and we discovered the same thing. Ours had a factory installed heater and I'm not sure if that is what is causing the problem or not. But it has about 6" less legroom than a Ski 196. I will dig into it deeper tomorrow and report back. We also compared it to all the other boats at the show and it seemed cramped.
