I can't seem to see any of the boats or other pics people are posting here... is there something I need to do?

We seem to have several users with this issue. Daniel is going to look into the problem when he gets home from Florida.

Until the attachment feature is fixed, please use the procedure below to attach pictures to your posts.

First of all, note:
You must have the picture hosted on the INTERNET somewhere & NOT just on your computer.

Does my pic have to be on a web page already?

Not necessarily on a Web Page, but it must be hosted on the Internet somewhere (like a picture storage site such as Photopoint, WebShots, or Geocities).

To embed an image within a message you're posting:
Type the URL of your image with before the URL and after the URL.
Example: YourPictureURL

This is an actual pic and what is typed in to make it viewable here:

http://users.adelphia.net/~jcarrol4/Nautique/Away_small.JPG

Becomes

http://users.adelphia.net/~jcarrol4/Nautique/Away_small.JPG

Notes:
1) You also have to make sure you use the FORWARD slash "/" and NOT the back slash "\" in your URL.

2) If you do use Geocities, you HAVE to rename the .jpg file to .txt file (in the Geocities file manager) to be able to view it.
***EX: http://www.geocities.com/skiing_ross/WJ/WJ_front2.txt

3) You CAN right click on the picture and go to Properties and copy the Address.

4) Make sure you are linking JUST the picture itself and NOT the web page that the picture is on.

[b]How do you get the address of a photo that you have hosted at one of those sites?[b]

Right click on the picture itself and then click on "properties". You'll see the URL in the box that appears.
