I heard about an in the water Nautique Reunion that was being put together July 15-16 2006 on/in Green Lake, WI. Some guys are organizing it on CorrectCraftFan.com. Sounds like a very cool idea that I thought some PN members may be interested to participate in. I am definitely planning on going and hopefully there will be a big turnout.

All those Nautiques in the water at the same time, I see a picture for the cover of the 07' Calendar in the making.

Green Lake. THere's a place I haven't heard for a long time. I used to frequent that lake nearly weekly when I was at Ripon. Should be a nice location for a reunion.

My brother has a place on Little Green Lake. I will have to talk him into taking his boat over to Big Green.

You really understand why they named it Green Lake when you do a tumble turn and come up looking like you are covered with pea soup.

Where in Wisconsin is Green Lake?

It's about 3 hours north of Chicago on the eastern side. I'll try to make it and hopefully have a new boat by then.

Sure sounds better than driving to Ohio! 3 hrs? Appleton area?

This is a lot more doable than Ohio, we'll see if I can make it I'd like to go for the day Saturday.

Hi all!'
Just joined this sight. Until a few years ago I was "boat-less" . In the mid 70s I had a SN ...then a family got in my way..dang kids.. Anyway Ive always had a soft spot for CCs .

Im now more into vintage inboards..and am currently working on a 64 CC American Skier and a 62 wooden Higgins.

NOW on to the reunion!!!! Im one of about 4 guys on Correctcraftfan.com (another good site) who are trying to get a gathering of CC guys together in the northern midwest.

The dates are July 14,15,16 2006. at Green Lake Wi. We are trying to get a base camp at a hotel or two, as some are already sold out. We found aprox 20 rooms between two hotels and are working on seeing how long they will hold them ...hopefully mid Jan. We should have more info next week on that.
A schedule hasnt been ironed out yet, but hope to have a reception Fri night, an in water "show" Sat afternoon , band Sat night etc etc.

EVERYONE with a Correct Craft is welcome and encourage anyone of any age to attend!

For more info go to Correctcraftfan.com and go to "forums" then "general discussions". You should find a topic "Green Lake Reunion dates SET!!!"
Please leave any info under that topic..
I can also post hotel info ,etc here if youd like?

Sorry for the ramblin" Tell everyone they are WELCOME!!!! Thanks 64

Re: Where is Green Lake?

Green Lake is northeast of the Wisconsin Dells, looks like maybe 20 minutes? or just west of Fond du Lac. I have not been there in many years however according to some of the posts on CCFan and from what I can remember, it is very nice and also very deep.

Regarding The Correct Craft Fan Reunion....HERES THE HOTEL INFO!!!!!!! Sorry it took so long to get....The dates are July 14,15,and 16. ........ We are using The Green Lake Inn as the "base camp". "Linda" is holding some rooms til mid Feb. Its off season right now so the best way to make reservations is on her cell phone. That number is (920)539-1295. For reference, the inns # is (920)294-3417. The rate is aprox $85 plus tax per night. If you ask ,she said she would give us an extra 10% discount. If you have any questions, please ask her!!!!! You will be responsible for your own accomodations.

There are also a couple of campgrounds in the area. The chamber has a good website that has info on them as well as other hotels, etc . You are welcome to stay anywhere. (some people have time shares at the Heidel House...really nice place)..The chambers website is
< greenlakecc.com>.

Right now some of us are planning on getting there Fri Afternoon(July 14th).

A few of us are hoping to get together in the next couple of weeks to try and get some type of event schedule together...If you have any ideas' please let us know! Also, tell anyone you know with a Correct Craft about this also!

Hope to see all there!!!

Hey all, Newbie here...

Yes, the word is getting out... As one of the committee members that are helping organize this Midwest CC Reunion, and a part time resident of Green Lake, I promise you a weekend to remember on the deepest lake in Wisconsin..

Thank you immensely for your interest and the posting of these nicely detailed maps. Green lake is 3-3-1/2 hours from the Western suburbs of Chicago. The lake is clean, clear and offers 3 main public launches with parks and beaches, plenty of flat water resting areas as well as on water resturaunts.

Complete details will become available beginning of Feb 06' for your review.. Hotel space is abundant around Green Lake County as well as camping.. Everyone is invited.. Mark your calendars and watch for updates..

Summer will be here before you know it !!!

Do you mean behind the boat or off the bottle? Either way, you got it. We probably won't be in full force seeing as only a couple of us are actually interested in Nautiques and the following weekend is Country Thunder.

You should get yourself/boat signed up on the CCFan site, the guy's who are planning everything are working on some sponsers and trying to get a handle on the numbers. We need to turn that town upside down that weekend!
It should be a good time no doubt, only Twomonths2go.

Reunion update, Saturday night back at the park is now officially a pig roast. If there's anyone on the fence about coming out we just upped the anty. The roast is included with your registration of only $20 per boat and $5 for each additional guest. You can't beat the price, our sponsors are making it happen so come out have some fun..

I do ask that you register before July 1 as we need to get the porker ordered and tee shirts printed by then and need a head count. snooze you lose. see you there

We'll leave about 6 or so PM... We're north of Chicago just off the tollway. R79, you can swing by if you want- literally directly on the way up. BTW, if I had a nickel for every morning I was on the water hung over... I'd have a newer boat.
