I own a 2001 Ski Nautique and have recently found out that Teleflex has discontinued the instrument line. My speedometer is out and I am told that I am out of luck. Do you know if this is in fact true? Any suggestions? Pretty frustrating that my boat is only 3 years old and I am having trouble finding parts.

Somebody told you a lie. Talk to your dealer and they will get you the Faria Replacement for that guage. I haven't seen it but post one when you get it. Besides, the Faria is better quality. Also, they will probably replace both the tach and speedo so they look better. Good Luck!

Thanks. Problem is, my dealer was the one who told me I could not get another black bezell speedo guage. I have absolutely no confidence in my local dealer though. I will check with some other avenues and let you know what I find. Thanks again.

No problem. If you dealer is no good, you might want to check with west coast correct craft. If I remember correctly, this was part of the deal with CC signing on with Faria. As far as the black bezel, I am not sure about that one. It might be silver but I have no real clue there.

The following five posts were missed during the website conversion, so I have moved them over here manually.

I placed a phone call to Teleflex and they told me that their guages had a 5 year warranty on them. I ended up getting a replacement guage that had a silver bezel. They stated that they no longer carried guages with the black bezel. I then negotiated getting the other large guage so that they at least matched. http://www.teleflexmarine.com/marine-sb.asp?ID=28 is the website address and their telephone number is 941 907 1000.

As for the Faria guages, I couldnt answer that question. Please let me know if you find this route advantageous. I am still finding that the new Teleflex guages that were sent to me do not function as well as they should in the relm of display characteristics.

Ffmedic74, thanks for your input. Maybe that was my confusion. In your negotiations were you able to get a straight swap for the other large gauges? Having only one gray bezel gauge doesnt' sound very appealing to me. I have heard the faria gauges have flaws as well. I will post my findings. Thanks again.

I actually called West Coast CC yesterday. They told me that the Faria guages will NOT work with the Teleflex guages at all. The Faria system is much more advanced and has a central processing unit that all the guages wire into to decode information into analog. I actually like the color of the silver/metallic. I think it looks much better with the carbon fiber dashboard. The only downside is that the ancillary guages will be black. Teleflex was easy to work with. I gave them my part number on the back of the guage and they sent me replacements. You may want to "request" the color that you want and see what they can do for you. Good luck and let me know if you need any more help

That is strange. I think I am going to look into this because Faria was supposed to be producing a guage similar to the teleflex to act as the replacement once teleflex ran out or stopped supplying them.

Well I spoke with my local dealer, West Coast CC, and Teleflex yesterday in an attempt to have working & matching gauges. Local dealer gave me a silver bezel replacement that I put in last night. Teleflex said they would swap a grey bezel for a black and ship it out tomorrow. Sounds like I will have a matching dash again. I need to take back my earlier comments about my local dealer. The owner came through for me yesterday (he should since I bought his boat). As for the Faria question, I was told by everyone I spoke with yesterday that swapping Teleflex for Faria would demand a complete re-running of wires (at least in the dash section, I believe that all of the necessary outputs from the engine exist for any type of guage, digital or analog). Not to mention that the new Faria gauges are larger than the teleflex.

skinautique, I would be interested in hearing what you find out regarding a faria gauage that could replace the teleflex. I have a strange feeling that this will not be the only time I have to deal with an instrument problem. Thanks

Turns out that Teleflex has sent out an original black bezel speedo guage that will be here tomorrow. I never found out if the Faria guages could be used as a replacement. Thanks to all for your insight.
